You should definately have a boat and lots of patience. I've caught many of the "mystery" fish. It's silver with very large scales and always bites a worm with a bobber. There are catfish if you fish at night, and trout or salmon upstream for fly angling. And secretly there's another road before the covered bridge (as you travel down River Rd to the state park). It's called Car Ridge Road and if you go when the fish are rising, it's excellent fishing.
