Took 5 year old there for first time fishing. It was perfect for what she was looking for. Lots of small fish right off of the bank. 4 fish in an hour for her. I am looking forward to going by myself and trying to catch more than sunnys.

Right now at the 2nd lake(the larger of the 2), crappies, bluegills, and many large bass are spawning. I don't know when it started and don't know when it's gonna end. Lately, I've been busy and this was trhe 1st time I've fished in weeks. I was there for about 2 and a half hours and caught 45 fish, half of which were crappies. Crappies, sunfish, and small bass are taking white grubs and large bass are taking live small sunfish.

It has lots of sunfish(bluegill and pumpkinseed),crappie9 both white and black, trout, bass(largemouth and smallmouth), pickerel, roach, perch, and many other species. It is stocked with trout each year atleast 20 times with fall stocks being large 18 inch breeders. The bass spawn usually around end of April to Early June. At about the same time, crappie and bluegill will spawn too. For panfish and perch, use worms or small jigs. For bass, use senkos or large minnows. pickerel will also take the bass baits and trout will take both the bass and panfish baits. Worms are the best bait for this lake.
