Had a great day. Fished by boat. Caught 10 to 15 bluegills. Then tried to catch some bass and caught 2 of them. 1 of them was 17 inches and the other 20 inches. Beautiful..

Fished from the shore with a couple senko's, some spinner baits, and night-fished with a popper and a plastic baby trout bait, haven't caught a thing there so far. Am going back soon, but the problem is the lake was sprayed and it killed most of the vegetation the bass like to hang out around. Probably have better luck with a boat fishing in the deeper areas. There is a pretty good boat launch here.

Fished Farrington from Riva Avenue to Washington Place by boat for three hours yesterday. Tried all kinds of bait without a bite. The guys on the Riva Ave bridge didn't seem to be catching either.

Fished on the church lane bridge, boatless, working around lilly pads with a rebel popr june 17 landed a fat bass, june 18 landed 2 decent size bass and 1 little bass. All fishing was done in an hour and a half to 2 hours so not bad considering I was from shore.

DONT FISH from riva or church lane bridge. If you see lots of people its probably overfished lots of good fishing sunnies all the way up to bass and pickerel at tall dam south off of route 130 or north near sir johns.

You need a boat, raft, or kanoe to capitalize on farrington lake. There are big fish in the lake, you just have to find them under the lillypads, or under trees near the shore. The bass population isn't as great as I would like (probably due to the pike). But I have caught some decent sized ones, also good sized pike, yellow perch, white perch, and stupid sunnies.

Caught a nice 5 lber out of here on shore on riva near ireland brook in the lilly pads using a frog. Its all about finding the bass if that's what you're out for in this lake and the church lane bridge isn't that bad its about time of day and what your approach is imo.
