I moved to nj when i was 11 yrs. old am now 25 and i have been fishing there atleast once a month since.Less now since i have a 2 yr. old son.But am very disappointed in the changes at the lake. They have put a fence up near the dam which is a prime fishing spot for carp, herring, catfish and a few other species that i would rather not mention due to the fact thats its a local guy secret knd of thing.Ihave also fshed the top lake which is not exactly taken care of correctly.Bottles litter the shore line which continue to build because no one takes the time to go down and clean it thats works for the company all they are concerned with is kicking people out that they do not want fishing there.I am sure there are plenty of people out there that would be more then happy to help out if a day was set to clean the place up.The lake also needs to be dredged it is so over grown that it is almost impossible to fish.(which im sure does not concern the owner all that concerns him is kicking people out)maybe if he would figure out that the place he owns is a great place to bring your kids for them to learn how to fish or just take a cruise on a boat he would put a little effort into trying to clean the place up.

Good crappie, pickerel and an occasional pike. Large and small mouths on the two lakes adjacent to Duhernal, right off East Graystone Rd.

As a young boy, I fished the lake on a near daily basis between May and Sept in the late 60's. Pickeral were the main sought after fish and there were numerous catfish and perch. One year, they drained the lake to resurface the dam. There were several large pools because the lake floor was uneven. Made a killig back then. There was no fence around the dam and in the summer we used to swim and go over the falls to the basin. We had such a blast growing up there. I left there in the erly 70's courtesy of the USMC. Been back as recently as Sept of this year. I walked around part of the lake and to the dam. Too much seaweed and algae to fish there.
