Lake Shawnee is a private lake open for fishing only to those who live in the development and pay a membership to use the lake and its facilities. As far has fishing goes. 2-3lb largemouth bass are plentiful. Crappie and large bluegill can be found all day. Stock in the early 1990's, Multiple Northern Pike in excess of 40" have been pulled from the lake. Smaller pike and pickerel can be found fairly easy. Very large channel catfish have been caught regularly, and smaller ones are plentiful.
