I caught a 20 lb largemouth bass today, got the state record and U.S. record and won 1 million dollars. LOL JK, but lake riviera is a good lake to catch nice sized fish like bass and pickerel. There are also crappies, sunnies and a stray catfish here and there.

I haven't fished this lake since last year but overall this is my favorite place to go get fish in Ocean County. There are many different varities of fish to catch. I am going to go for bass and pickerel today. I usually catch something when I fish here.

Great time on the lake in our new canoe. Brought in a total of at least 10 fish including 2 Bass and 1 monster pickerel. It was 2 feet!!!! and over 3 lbs. not sure exactly because we didn't have a scale but it did measure just barely past our 24 inch measuring tape.

Tips: If you are going to fish this lake and you are planning on using live bait, then use shiners. If not then my favorite lures are usually soft plastic jerk baits, either rig it on a lead head and reel it in slow and steady or let it fall to the bottom and jig it up and down every few seconds.

This is a good lake if you have a small jon or v hull boat (14' or less). Anything bigger & you wont be able to drop the boat in because the trail to the boat slip is narrow & the slip has a steep drop off. Once you're on the water this lake is really fun, it has great structure, ranging from open water over 30' deep, to shallows with lots of grass, lily pads, and other cover to pull bass and other big fish up. Overall a nice lake to spend the day on.
