Fished here for a couple nights a few small pan fish. Saw a nice trout off the rocks passed the lean to. Very Popular swimming spot due to the ease of access and the cold deep water. Great afternoon getaway

I fished this pond a few times with my dad in the '60s when I was about 12 or 13. The pond had lake trout and stunted sunfish. The EnCon website says it still holds lakers. One time we caught 2 fish in the 19-20" range and lost a third. It was in July or August snf there was no wind. That allowed us to fish very deep. Otherwise the wind would blow you around too much. The pond is too deep use an anchor. The trail is short but very steep so carrying a canoe or car topper, though do-able, could be a strain. Inflatable craft suggested.
