Baker Pond is only a 17 acre pond but is full of fish. My son and I caught plenty of good size Northern Pike and bass. We came down from Meacham Lake via Osgood River. It's about a 3 hour paddle upstream because it's a crooked river but boy was it worth it. Baker pond only has one camp site located on the west side of the pond but chances are slim anyone will be camped there, unless of course we return.

Just returned from another outing to Baker Pond. It's exactly the same as my last post. Plenty of very large Northern Pike. This time we put in at Hays Brook just off State Route 30 south of McColloms. Don't worry about the posted sign on the Hwy as it applies only to the surrounding land and not the brook. Take the brook only about 100 ft until you reach the Osgood River. Then it's just a 45 minute paddle downstream to Baker Pond. You may want to stop first at McColloms Pond which is very similar in size and beauty to Baker Pond. Use Rapalas in yellow perch or fire tiger. And be careful about hanging your fish off your kayak. I picked up a passenger, snapping turtle, who was dining on my fish.
