I heard that Skip Vallentine bought 40 acres that cross the gate going to the pond and put a gate up. The pond is 600 acres and he only owns a farm that crosses the road to acess the pond. I know for a fact that the state put in the boat landing and stocked the pond with fish back in the 80's. The Army Core of Enineers built the two spillways. People need to get organized and get the state involved so people can fish this beautiful Cypress Pond.

Got Run off and told not to come back, The lake is closed to the public. This year the game warden will allow a warning, but next two months all accessing the pond will be cited with Trespassing! That would have cost me $250.00 DO NOT GO TO THE MILL POND

It's a shame that greedy rich people from Raleigh who like to buy land in Eastern North Carolina don't know their place or don't know any better than to step on everyone's toes in the area. Take a hint and get a clue.
