Been fishing here all summer from my canoe. Lots of catfish, mostly channels, but some blues and flatheads. Couple bass this summer, and one saugeye. Bluegill are abundant (go figure) and some nice crappie occasionally. I highly suggest getting away from the shorelines that are heavily fished and making it to parts of the lake that can't be fished by the bank for best results.

Acton is a good lake to fish in during the summer or the spawn for Bass, Crappie, or even Saugeye. But the trails are a pretty good walk if your wanting to find the honey holes but i would strongly recommend a boat for Acton because the banks are fished alot. The banks by the run off are very heavily fished but you can still manage to find the crappie or saugeye near the bottom. The crappie are biteing on minnows or try jigging a small black and chartruse tubes along the rocks or around trees or brush. the saugeye have been biteing very well at the spillway off of bright colored twister tail grubs. i would recommend this lake more in late spring or early summer but i would also take a boat instead of fishing the banks.
