leesville is an under rated saugeye lake. there is a exponetialy larger average fish in this lake. vibe's, casting spoons, and jerk baits, are a good bet when looking for that new state record. this lake is an awsome early morning bite. the bite starts to fade after about nine thirty. i would suggest fishing a few hours before daybreak around hard or rocky bottom shorelines, close to deep water with jerkbaits.suspending, pref. and after day break. a gold or silver hoppkins casting spoon. six to nine foot of water. firebird point is a good place to try.
