White bass are really biting good at galena river leading into hoover. for bass look for the small islands of trees.

Patience is the one thing you have to have here. I fished this all last summer, at least two nights a week during the summer, and I only caught maybe 5 pan fish and a couple of carp. Some people have better luck...I think it depends on the bait and the heat index. There are some big ones in here...but like in real estate...location, location, location. Having a boat really helps get into the difficult places with tons of fish.
