If you're going to fish this lake, one of the best spots is nearest the dam out-flow. Salmon eggs, or worms bounced along the bottom work best. If the trout are jumping, try a fly and bubble(nymph patterns)ultra slow retrieve. Good lures here are rooster tails, small spoons, and size 2 Blue fox spinners in blue and silver. When the fish are here, they'll slam these all day. Try nymph fishing on the upper section of Faraday, where the water is moving a bit quicker. This area is virtually unfished, which leaves the residents to grow bigger. Planted Steelhead also hang here, as well as cruise the shorelines. Be persistent, and patient. This lake can kick out some big fish if you work it right.

we finally had sunshine and the fish were bitting big time, got there about 7:30am stayed until 4:00pm, catched and released the small ones, ended up with 10 nice ones, including 2 14 inch. but you do have to be patient. they really hit the rainbow powerbait and chartruse power eggs. the 2 big ones we caught were in the pm around 2 and 3pm.

Fishing is good here. Sometimes it is off and on. Typical lake fishing. Most fish are caught at the inlet or at the dam end. Baits vary. Powerbait, Spinners or bobbers. Have to fish all depths sometimes to get fish. All in all I usually come home with fish. Rarely skunked. I would rate this as an intermediate lake for fishing.
