Visited opening weekend. We limited out with the fish averaging about 8-10 inches. Used garlic powerbait and treble hook. We opted not to troll as drifting seemed to do much better.

Last trip was 7-24-08 The form wouldn't take it in any format I tried including the form sample. Fish this lake all the time for Trout. Trolling is good through the middle of the lake as well as along the shoreline from the Marina East. We use a small set of flasher blades with a "rudder" at the top and a 6-12" leader with a wedding ring and half a large night crawler. For still fishing we've had the most luck going up the river on the NE of the lake and fishing the right bank (as going upstream) in several areas. We use a small trebble hook with powerbait rigged with a sliding sinker. Experiment with colors but chartreuse and rainbow seem to work best. Mostly "legals" up to about 12" with a few larger fish. We took a 16.5 inch Trout on July 24th still fishing in the river with chartreuse powerbait on 4lb test mainline with a 6lb test leader. Many of the Trout will have external Copepod parasites which ODFW says are safe but we throw back those fish with heavy infestations and-or sores.
