Being over 30 years ago, its hard to say if things have changed. When I was there I was fishing with a spinner and salmon eggs as bait. The fishing was so good that we didn't need most of the freeze dried food we packed in for the week. I was lucky with the spinner but my dad didn't have luck fly fishing. I don't remember what he was using at that time.
