I've fished Lake Ann many time, but not in the last 25 years, it doesn't seem that long ago. One of my favorite places ever. I've fished the lake at all times during the Oregon fishing season. Once even went up for opening and to camp in 2 feet of snow, one of the few times we didn't catch fish. As I recall the lake is about 5 acres in size and relatively shallow, up to 20-25 feet. The lake was not often fished in those days, with most people bypassing Lake Ann on their way to Marion Lake. The only thing we ever caught was brook trout, which is fine, with most fish ranging from 12" to 24". Due to the lack of a lot of fishing pressure, the fish are very shy and the best way to fish is in an inflatable raft, just floating and let the breezes take you where they may. If you go enjoy. A truly great experience.
