SMALL BROOK TROUT ONLY FROM FLOAT TUBE WITH A DRY FLY. SHORE FISHING IS BAD. FISH ONLY BITE IN AM OR EVENING. THE LAKE IS ONLY ABOUT FOUR FEET DEEP BUT THER IS TWO FEET OF MUD AND STICKS SO YOU CANT WADE.

45 minute hike to lake. Choking clouds of mosquitoes so bring insect repellent. Fly fishing is excellent if you have waders or a float tube. The lake is spring fed and very shallow. Brook trout and rainbow trout are plentiful if you can find the right pattern. Eggs and power bait work for catching trout but don't use worms because of the newts. This place is usually snowed in till late July. There is a spring on the west shore for fresh water, be sure to boil it first.
