Tanasbrook Reservoirs Fishing in Washington County, Oregon

In 2006-08, Tanasbrook's lake was turned into a wildlife reserve. Fishing had been prohibited for years. Over 3 summers, TVWD (with Federal funds) drained and bulldozed the entire lakebed and stream and created a berm running down its center which divides the lake, making it smaller. The beautiful lake with its multitude of waterfowl was revamped and the stream enhanced. The end result surprised many homeowners. It was planted with a large variety of fast-growing shrubs, grasses, and trees. This vegetation has quickly grown large and dense, and already blocks views of the lake from many areas. It is now a wildlife habitat. During the 3 summers the lake was dry and bulldozers worked it, the Canadian geese, the ducks (and their spring chicks) and many other water fowl and wildlife moved to greener pastures. Hopes are that they will gradually return and enjoy their newly-revised home.

The bodies of water you seem to referring to (at 185th & Cornell) have been a part of Tanasbrook Condominiums since the mid-70's, and are also bordered by other private apartment complexes. They are not open to the public.
