Don't even think about going here on the first day of trout...and the fact that it is a near perfect rectangle makes it not a very good sight-seeing destination, but theres lots of fish, so bring a stinger. P.S.: This is WINDY lake!!!

You have to love fishing here on the first day, you better set your alarm early though the spots fill in early. You can't beat seeing all the little kids realing them in plus listening to the gobblers bellowing all morning. No fires unless they are contained in a 50 gallon drum, which the game comission will make sure you take with you when you leave. There are a lot of fish stocked and they will hit live and artificial baits just the same, switch it up according to what everyone else is using, sometimes a spinner through 10 bobbers with live bait on them will produce more strikes. Bass fishing and catfishing in the summer can be a trip too, crappies aren't the biggest typically but its not unusual to find a nice school of them.
