I have fished the lake weekly since 2002. A varity of fish can be caught at this lake. Musky, Northern Pike, Small mouth & Largemouth Bass, Perch, "Large Perch", Tiger Trout, sizable crappy bass and cat fish are all on the list of past catches. I fish all seasons except winter. Rarely do we not catch anything. We also release all fish caught so that the lakes continues to thrive. We, (locals) hope that all will do the same

I have fished here several times a week during the summer (2008). Above and below the dam. Below the dam I've cold large and small mouth bass, walleye, and drum. I usually fish out of a kayak or canoe and flow down the river. There are several very easy places to put a boat in. The water is only a foot and a half deep on average. As for above the dam, I have caught large and small mouth bass, perch, northern pike, catfish, and carp. I fish from a kayak or canoe, but also do a lot of shore fishing. The water above the dam can change very quickly. In early September I was out fishing in the rain and the water level went up about 10 feet in six hours. Fishing seems to be best in the spring and fall. During the summer as always, you need to be a little more picky about the days you pick to go fishing. 90 is a great day to catch a burn, and not a lot of fish
