Good and bad. These areas do hold big bass. When fishing these waters in late spring to mid summer you always have to take in to mind hook pressure from other anglers and water temps especially in the park area. From my experience the best lures or methods vary day to day especially since fish here see the same methods of fishing it seems all summer long. I have caught big pigs on large plastic worms in mixed colors and methods. I also use small rigs on shakey head jigs on super lite line. Also have caught big fish on medium dive crank baits power fishing them. In my opion and experience the areas are heavily fished but if you take your time and try other methods than most your outcome will produce fish. Dont just be the guys throwning the same plastic or spinner.

Not what it use to be. I use to fish here 30 years ago before all the developments, townhouses, apt were built between Green Lane and Rt. 309, fishing was great then, not so great now. The banks are heavily over fished, so they produce mush less then they use to. A bout rental is required for any type of successful fishing day. Marsh Creek Lake has the same problem. Green Lane Park should close all fishing on one of their three lakes over then next three years to allow the fish to grow in size and population. Marsh Creek Lake should do the same for one year. They are both over-fished. Ironically, the fishing in Pennypack creek is more fun, no one fishes there after Trout season, and the Bass are plentiful.

I went there for carp, but I guess it's still too early. Otherwise, when the water gets warmer, this is a perfect place for carp...there's a lot of it in there.

some spots marked no trespassing and if u go to where everyone else is fishing, too crowded, too many kids screaming and yelling, scaring the fish away some nibbles, caught a small sunnie Ranger walks around and tells u when u have to leave. Pretty scenery and sunsets. Nice enuf picnic area (only place we have found so far where the fishing is not down some steep hill, as we are both handicapped but love to fish

this place is nasty smells nast and is polluted with a lot of coliform and nutrients turbidity is less than a foot good luck catching anything and have fun looking at the bucket brigade as us locals call the mostly asian non stop 247 jerks who fish and fish and fish from the bridge and keep EVERYTHING... hopefully the mercury catches up to them and they learn a lesson. Really i don't see how much longer the population of crappies and even bass can last near knight's bridge with these gluttonous way over the top people fishing like this
