the only problem I had was launching my boat at the public ramp on Lake Robinson rd. it has a 5ft deep hole at the end under the water and needs to be repaired.I damaged my trailer last summer at this location!!!

This is a clear water lake and difficult to fish. The public ramp is short and can be a hazard to an unsuspecting launcher, just be careful and not back to far into the water to launch, and is risky for large trailers (e.g. big bass boats, pontoon boats, long speed boats). There are black bass (largemouth), redbreast, bluegill, shellcracker, crappie, and white perch. There is a sizable population of either snail or spotted bullheads (they do not attain any appreciable size). I have caught 2 yellow bullheads but they seem to be rare. I have never caught any other species of catfish in this lake. There are also bowfin, redfin pike, and chain pickerel. The fish population was hurt considerably by the drought and heat of the past few years, and the high water temps caused significant changes in the range of the fish in the lake. This used to be a prime smallmouth bass lake according to long time residents but no smallmouth remain. There are two pay ramps at the lower end of the lake that are considerably better for launching, the fees are nominal (about $3.oo but the rates may change at any time). Hope this helps for information.
