I had a great time fishing Sylvan lake for trout. Caught three, sizes 12 to 18 inches in about half and hour. They then quit biting, which is normal of course. You really need to know something about trout fishing to do any good. Fish were feeding when I arrived, 1 PM, so it was clear it was an active time. They quit biting at the same time they quit jumping for flies and midges. The lake is deep, and so are the trout this time of year.
