This is a good pond to take your kids. I took my grandchildren and some worms and they never got bored waiting for a fish to bite. More of them were little than big, but we did manage to pull some keepers out of the water. My daughter who hates fishing was playing with a pole and casting it out then reeling it up with an EMPTY hook and caught a large mouth bass. Good size one too. I love this little pond. Nice senery, nice people, safe!

This is an excellent Lake to fish at with your family, and friends. Fish bite quite often and put up a fight as well. You are able to catch anything from Perch to Channel Catfish. The kids had a blast and I myself reeled in a 17 inch Channel Catfish and plenty of Mud Catfish as well. It is also very peaceful, and you don't have to put up with a crowd of people pole to pole. Definentely plan on going back to this lake.

I just recently found out that there are Largemouth bass in this water!! And good size ones as well. My husband caught one on a jig playing with the perch. I got such a kick out of seeing him fight that thing. I also caught a 3 pound large mouth recently on a HOTDOG... GREAT FISHING PLACE TO RELAX

This is a good lake to fish with kids. There aren't huge fish, but there are a lot of small ones. Panfish will give you bites constantly, and are very abundant here. We have caught Carp, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Sunfish, Perch, Crappie, and many types of catfish. I have fished here many times before and with live bait you can reel in a lot of fish. Minnows, worms, Shad, shrimp, and even Salmon Eggs work for bait. I caught a monster bass on BREAD. Not a very well known bait but it works. This lake is a favorite of mine to fish at.
