Three Lakes Fishing in Kane County, Utah

These can only be call lakes by using the most liberal of terms. They are actually catch areas between the road, hwy 89, and a fairly high rock wall. Of the 3, only the furthest south of them is actually fishable. The other two are not only shallow and clogged with plant growth but are on private land with prominent no trespassing and no fishing signs. The one that is furthest south is clear and deep, although only about 8 acres. It too is located on private land with a prominate no trespassing and no fishing sign however, there is a loophole. Parking in the turnoff in front of the gate with the sign directly to the right or north rnning along the shoreline is a well worn path right next to hwy 89. This land is part of the road easement and as such is not part of private property. It is something of a gray area in that while standing on public property, your line is fishing private property. There are a fair amount of fish, bream and trout considering the amount of fishing pressure it receives being right next to hwy 89 and only 5 miles north of Kanab. Fish early morning or late evening.
