You can get some nice perch at Lake Elmore, and there's always good Pike off the lips. Lake Elmore varies from about its 12 foot average to about 24 feet in the deepest hole. Limited smallmouth are in the lake as well. There are a few Lake House rentals which could be a great "base camp" as there are numbers of superb fishing lakes within an hour of Lake Elmore and Morrisville, Vermont. Elmore Lake House rentals are good for ice fisherman, skiers and snowmobilers as well. I cast various spoons and spinners of the edges of underwater deltas and weeds - and Rapala stick baits too - for fun to catch Pike. I have also boated a few horned pout (bullpout, bullhead, catfish) here as well. Careful of the milfoil if you are a boater. The town has done a great job keeping after it, but it is here nonetheless, and it would be nice to keep it out of other Vermont waters.
