returned this year determined to boat some walleye...fished an average of over 6 hours a day for 8 days for walleye using leeches, worms, minnows and rapalas...drifted, jigged, trolled and cat and never had a strike...too much rain I think....we WILL go back next year and try again..incredibly beautiful lake and surroundings...dept of fish and game were very nice and cooperative...not their fault walleye would not cooperate...I know they are there!!!

I live nearby and fished here a lot when I was first starting into the sport. This is a great place to bring young kids and people that are learning to fish. The Yellow Perch seem almost out of balance, and you can easily pull in perch all day long. I have never myself caught a Brown Trout here, but I have mostly fished from shore and never really tried to get one. I have however caught a couple of nice Walleye in here from shore. I have ehard of decent Bass fishing here as well, but I have never personally pulled one out. Like I said before the Perch are almost out of control population wise, which makes for good learning and fun for beginners, but if you are looking for other species you may get frustrated.
