i am a port angeles native, i have fished lake aldwell plenty of times, it is very hit and miss it seems, one day i caught over 15 beauties, and another i caught squat, fly fishing seems to work better for me, and there are hot spots around the lake, so if one doesn't work out, find one that does

lake aldwell offers some great fishing, just need to put the time in to find the big ones.I catch my limit almost every time I fish there. I sugest using a cheese ball, or trolling spoons or spinners in a rainbow pattern. the lake also has some of the bigest dolly varden I've seen on the peninsula, catch and relese only. weather pickes up in the vally pretty quick so be prepared.
