I fished for several years in the 80's and 90's at Scout Lake. I took an old trappers trail. Steep hike to the ridge then half mile to the lake. Great fishing if you hike in a small raft. Too much brush on the shore to fly fish and it gets deep quickly. Casting from shore does work, but always found trolling the best results. Took many nice rainbow trout 14-18 inches. The snow pack varies year to year but usually by mid June you can get in, although you may be camping on snow.

Ive never been there but was interested in going there so I googled it and your the closest info I found about the lake. Did you get there from upper lena lake trail? How was the pass over that peak? What time of year did you go? How much snow did you have?
