We took a day trip here and found that there was a 2.2 miles hike involved to get to the lake. Once there we fished for a couple of hours with a number of different baits and a fly rig, unsucessful with all of it. Just after we got there, roughly 4:30 pm the bugs were starting to swarm and we could see some small activity on the water around the lake, so we waited for feeding time, or what we figured would be feeding time, all to no avail. I assume that if you camped there and got up super early to catch them at breakfast, one would have better luck, but I can't say. All I know, is that you had better bring the bug spray, because dayam. You'll be eaten alive by the horse flies and skeeters.
