I've fished here since I was a kid. I've fished all over the lake and had quite a bit of success. Perch are the easiest and most abundant fish. A worm and bobber will do the trick beautifully. There are Largemouth and small mouth bass - which generally go for a frog lure or small silver lure. They supposidly stock the lake with trout, although I've never had much luck at all with catching them. I know there are also blue gill. Have fun!
