Anyone insane enough to fish here should be wary of the many health issues including being shot by local gangs that roam this area. This lake was once stocked with rainbow trout (last in '92 I believe) but as there is no natural flow in or out it is basically a sediment pond, heavily contaminated with everything from very high phosphates to the occaisional stolen automobile. There are ongoing studies on what to do with Hicks Lake that seem to conclude that the situation is beyond salvation.
