I fished here two days during the heat wave when it was close to 100 degrees. I had success off the west shore in the late afternoon casting floating garlic troutbait with hatchery food with a sliding weight just over the swivel with a small hook on about 3 feet of leader. I talked to the local boat renter and he suggested I fish like this off the shore just north of the little bridge that separates the lagoon from the main lake. The first day at about 5pm, I had a fish on within 5 minutes of casting each time. I pulled out two 11 inch rainbows and a 16" cutthroat. They were hungry that day and just swallowed the bait. I had to stop at 3 beacause I had no fridge and could not eat more than that. The next day was slower. You could see the fish in the clear water but they were'nt biting as well. I still managed to get an 11" and a 14" rainbow for dinner though after about 2 hours from 4 to 6 pm. The lake is full of fish and it's only about 17 deep throughout. You just gotta get them when there biting. Power bait can work well too according to the local.
