I fished lake Sixteen on June 1, 2010 the day after memorial day weekend. The previous three days of constant rain resulted in the lake being a brown color with lots of suspended particles. Water visibility was very poor to say the least. I was on the lake at 10:20am and fished a silver tinsel streamer with a red tail and deer hair. I caught four fish and had strikes from 4 or 5 others. I saw very little action from other boaters. I counted ten other boats on the lake that day. I decided to quit fishing about 2:00 since very little bite was going on in the afternoon. Given the conditions of the lake, I was fortunate to catch (and release) the fish that did find my fly. A very enjoyable day none-the-less. Hope the water clarity is better when you fish this very nice scenic lake.
