My uncle took me to this lake back in the 60's. It was loaded with cutthroat trout. Over this past winter I was thinking of places to take the grandson fishing and thought of Hoo Hoo. It had been over 40 years since I had fished there, well before St. Helens blew, so didn't know if it was still there. Seen it still on the maps so with my GPS I went to find it again. Was saddened to find just a marshy alder thicket where the lake once was. It never was much of a lake anyways, so I imagine when the moutain blew it filled up with ash.
