I live on Sunday Lake and am not a fisherman. But, I have seen a few really large bass caught and released. Seems like April and May are the best for the bass. There is no sewage system on the lake, hence no sewage outfall. All the homes are on individual septic systems. There is a large population of Trumpeter Swans using the lake right now. Be here at dawn or dusk to see them taking off and landing. There's a public fishing access on the north side of the lake with a nice day use dock. I've heard others talk about there being trout in the lake, but have never talked to anyone who has caught one. Apparently, the lake was stocked with rainbows many years ago, but the mortality rate was too high, so they stopped. The beaver have raised the dam a couple of feet, so the water is a foot or two deeper year 'round. I'm wondering if that isn't enough to cool the water at depth to make it suitable for trout again?

THIS LAKE IS GREAT FOR CRAPPIE FISHING. THE LARGES FISH I CAUGHT THERE WAS A 8 INCH CRAPPIE. THRER IS ALSO BIG MOUTH BASS, SPECKLED TROUT, AND YELLOW PERCH. TO CATCH THESE FISH I USED NIGHT CRAWLERS AND BASS GOOP.
