Start the hike early like 7:00am and you should have a couple hours of solitude. Fishing was good all morning while I was there. I caught a few 6-inch rainbows before packing up for a trip around the small lake. There are supposedly rainbow and cutthroat in the lake. Google "washington alpine lakes fishing" for a good alpine lakes fishing resource.
