Waitts lake is productive early in the year, catch size ranges from 12"- 22". It is great untill the water warms up. When that happens like most of the lakes in eastern washington,I have found you have to swithch night fishing.

use power bait with a light wight. leave about 3 feet of line between the bait and wight. Fish on the west side where the underground streams are. You will always catch fish that way

Fished here numerous times. some nice rainbows ranging 10-13 inches caught a few of those, and the best ones was a bass 15" 3 13-16" German brown and the best of the best was a monster 24 inch cut-bow trout which made my reel scream from drag. I used bullet sinkers a swivel and full size night crawlers with size 4 hook. near the middle-western side of the lake, there is a drop off. anchor your boat there and cast the bait in about 40 feet. to catch more luncers, reel in very slowly 3 times around and pause for 5 seconds then do it again. this is a trout magnet(works for bass too.) good luck!!!
