went late summer...portaged in from mineral lake road..you can take the north country trail to make it a shorter and easier trip down stream..from mineral lake road it is about 2 miles in. the scenery is amazing the fishing was slow but largmouth bass and one musky were biting..defiantly recommended for those that like wilderness and want to get off the beaten path.
