Mendota is a clear, deep lake with excellent populations of pike (40" minimum), walleye, bass (18" minimum), white bass and bluegill. Fish the weed edges for all species or the numerous humps that can be found in the lake. For bluegill, fish University Bay in the spring. the drop offs at Picnic Point and Second Point are places to try.
