We camped at the lake at the top of the map. Lots of small brook trout. A world record Golden was caught in this Lake in 1954. The only record we had a chance at breaking was the most brook trout in a day.Of course lots of little fish is better than nothing. It would have been nice to catch a golden though. I am sure they are there if you can get through the nuisance brook trout. However, I do recommend the small cluster of lakes on the left side of the map below. There were some nice sized Lake (Mackinaw) Trout. I caught the biggest fish of our trip there, !8.5". The lakes are not very easy to get to though.
