1 (16 oz.) frozen fish fillets
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed
cauliflower, broccoli and carrots
3 c. milk
1/4 c. chives
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper, coarse
2 c. cream
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
Croutons - plain or seasoned
In large pot add milk, chives, salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat until just about to boil. Add frozen vegetables. In a tupperware container or screw top jar, shake 1/2 cup of cream and flour together. Dump into vegetable milk mixture, stirring in remaining cream. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. With a heavy knife, chop frozen fish into one inch squares. Add fish into chowder, cook and stir for about ten minutes, or until fish flakes easily. Serve with croutons sprinkled over chowder or fresh chopped parsley or chives.
